    - Change the way you sleep instead of sleeping on your back, sleep sideways or preferably on your stomach.
    - Always sleep on a firm and flat mattress.
    - Use some extra pillows that is to say it will raise your head and help you to change sleeping angles. If you are uncomfortable with the use of extra pillows, then you can make yourself comfortable by sleeping without any pillows.
    - Avoid excess intake of dairy and fatty products especially before going to bed notice to it that you have minimum three hours gap if you intake such foodstuffs.

Being overweight, drinking alcohol, enlarged tonsils and blocked nasal airways/adnoids can all cause snoring. If you are concerned you should see a sleep clinic and get an assesment. I am not sleeping well and I think it's because of my tonsils so I am about to visit a sleep clinic. PS They did wonders for my heavy snoring husband.
