Sleep Apnea Facts
I think I have either one of these, possibly even both. I don't know if I snore at night or the other things that can lead to Sleep Apnea. I know I wake up pretty much everyday with a soar throat and that is a symptom of sleep apnea. Also, the fact that no matter how much or how little sleep I get, I take numerous naps during the day. I mean like naps that can be 2, 3, or 4 hours of sleep. I feel tired all the time. It's ruining me and upsets me because how is it possible for me to be this tired all the time? Do you think I have sleep apnea? Hypersomnia? Both? And as for making a doctors appointment, what do I say to them? I would feel dumb calling in and saying, "I want to make an appointment because I think I have Sleep apnea or Hypersomnia. " I know that's a silly question, but thanks in advance for any input. I was so glad to find this — My roommate had sleep apnea. One more symptom of sleep apnea is that you wake up a lot during the night and also snoring loudly. While sleeping it sounded like he snored really and end up chocking because he could not breathe. If I had not told him, he would have never have gone to the doctors that diagnosed him with sleep apnea. He also felt tired all time and took a lot of naps. However, there is nothing wrong with going to the doctor, but he might have to refer to a specialist to properly diagnose you.
Too much or too little sleep can make you extremely tired.
Also I suggest you go to the doctors and just say that your having trouble sleeping and you concerned that you might have sleep apnea or hypersomnia.
