Sleeping Snore

It is a problem for me, because if I have to stay in my friends' or relatives' house I am anxious about snoring and I cannot sleep. If I snore it is shameful. So how can I stop it. After speaking to others on the web, I found the answer. Try sleeping on your side or stomach. If that doesnt help, google "snoring remedies" or something. There are surgeries, but those are expensive.

If you haven'thad your tonsils and adenoids removed, that is the main cause of snoring, especially for those who are loud, frequent snorers. Otherwise, it may be just a sinus closing problem, which is a minor thing and can be controlled with saline nose spray and those strips you see advertised that help keep the breathing passages open.

All good answers here so far!
I also suffer from the same problem, and for me it has only been the past couple of years that it's been happening (the snoring).
I know that mine is mainly due to the sinus problems that I've developed since moving to the desert.
The best solution I've found personally has been those 'breathe right' throat strips, they're supposed to lubricate that membrane where your sinus passage meets your throat and somehow that stops the snoring. . . I don't really know the specifics, but there is one thing that I do know. . . IT WORKS!
Also, the saline nasal spray, and saline nasal gel (made by a company called 'ayr' are both great! The spray keeps your upper sinuses from drying up, and the gel when applied inside and under your nostrils will help keep your inner nose itself from drying up. All of this will help you to breathe better and stop snoring!
