Cure For Sleep Apnea
Any help will be appreciated. Basically… If it is obstructive sleep apnea that is caused by excess weight then the trick is to lose weight. If it is sleep apnea caused by an issue with your airway. . Then there is no natural cure except for surgery. And surgery is not always the answer either.
To treat sleep apnea is important to know the causes of your sleep disorder. First question is what type of sleep apnea do you have? This is important, because if you have central sleep apnea, then I don't think that weight loss will have an improvement on your quality of sleep.
For central sleep apnea, where the cause starts from the brain, there are some medications; however, CPAP is the most recommended therapy.
If you have obstructive sleep apnea, where the cause starts from an obstruction of your airways (neck or nose), you should ask yourself what is the cause of your obstruction? If it's because obesity, then weight loss should be your first concern.
However, there are patients with obstructive apnea without being overweight. They should try positional therapy, meaning sleeping on the side rather on the back. This therapy is effective in patients with mild or moderate sleep apnea. Those with severe apnea should try CPAP.
