Snoring Cpap
Have had apnea for 8 years. Just had a new study that had a lowered setting from 13 to 10, although I've gained 70 pounds. Dr. Ordered a self adjusting machine to view if it's right. Wore it one night, couldn't stand it as pressure seemed to low. The computer report said that I'm still snoring, but that the setting of 10 is right. Why? Also I have M. S. And have lesions on the brain stem, etc; I have not had many good days or nights in years. I was happy to learn… I would think the Doctor knows what he is doing. If you are unhappy with the pressure, tell him you want to put it back up to 13 if that made the nights better. It won't hurt to have it higher. What you MAY be experiencing is the new cflex feature which doesn't resist your outbreath anymore so the pressure sensation isn't as good on your face, when in reality the pressure on the in breath is still good. Perhaps your snoring is caused by your lesions instead of just your Sleep Apnea? Ask your MS doctor.
